Erdmann’s Gardens & Greenhouses

Erdmann’s Gardens & Greenhouses is a family owned and operated farm located in Westlock County, Alberta.  We grow a wide variety of vegetables, potatoes and bedding plants, hanging baskets and planters.  Our products are available at three Farmers’ Markets in Edmonton and area and also at the farm.  We farm sustainably and ethically, we are not certified organic.  We do soil tests in the fall and, in spring, apply the necessary fertilizer and micro nutrients to replenish the soil.  We also re-incorporate the plants into the soil for organic matter.  Registered sprays are used sparingly, when necessary.

We enjoy eating the produce we grow, and we hope you do too.

What’s New

Summer is finally here and we’ll be open for your fresh veggies needs in July and August on Wednesdays and Fridays noon to 8 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm.  The greenhouse is now closed for the season. Callingwood Market runs on Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm  every Sunday until October 11 and Wednesdays from noon to 4 pm until September 30. You can also find us at St. Albert Farmers Market in stalls 46, 48, 50 & 52 until October 10.  While all the rain we’ve had has presented some challenges, the veggies are growing and we look forward to offering you healthy nutritious food for your meals.

We are also now a Verified Vendor with the Alberta Farmers Market Association. This certification confirms that what we sell is grown by us on our family farm. Find out more at albertafarmersmarket.com

We will not be taking advance orders for pickling cucumbers this year.  Once they’re ready, we’ll pick on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.  We will then post what is available on the store by 8 p.m. that evening. This allows you to pick the day you want to make your pickles (pending availability) without us having to call you the night before. Any remaining cucumbers will be available at the market or at the farm on a first come first serve basis. Check here for updates on how they’re growing.

Hope to see you soon!
